What is LiveMath?
LiveMath Maker is a computer algebra system which allows the creation of interactive LiveMath documents (notebooks). These can be viewed by others who have the program or by anyone via the free plug-in. The free plug-in makes the notebooks interactive on any computer (Mac or Win). LiveMath comes in Windows, Mac, and Linus and in eleven languages.
LiveMath Maker  enables you to create notebooks for Arithmetic, pre-Algebra, Elementary Algebra, Advanced Algebra, Linear Algebra, Statistics, Calculus, and Differential Equations. You may post these LiveMath files to webpages so that others may view  and interact with your math using the LiveMath Plug - In.  These mathematical notebooks are really templates, whereby a user can change parameters to perform "what if" comparisons to explore the mathematics. The user cannot save these changes unless he owns the program. They can, however,  be printed out from a WebPage. It is not possible for a user to input whole new ideas when working with LiveMath notebooks within a Web browser unless he/she has a license key.

What Can I Do With It?

Lectures: When a link to a web-based LiveMath document is embedded into a PowerPoint slide, lectures in PowerPoint format become totally interactive. In class presentations and demonstrations are live and interactive.
Exploratory Labs  for either in class,  lab, or at home assignments

Web- based assignments.

Cut and paste text and graphics from the notebook into a static presentation like Word, PowerPoint, or a webpage. Make tests and handouts , with symbolically correct math and great graphs.

Embed LiveMath into BlackBoard, WebCT, or other online course management systems.
